Are you a senior military veteran who suffers from aching and painful joints, limited mobility issues, or other issues affecting your daily functioning? Then we are ready to make a major impact on your life by moving to music!
22 Saves Hockey is pleased to announce our Ageless Movement program provided FREE of charge to military veterans and/or their spouses.
Led by certified fitness professional and nutrition consultant, Max Tymofii, this program is a holistic approach to wellness that focuses on improving physical, mental, and emotional health through movement and mindfulness practices. It emphasizes the importance of staying active and engaged as we age, and promotes a positive attitude towards aging.
When: Program is offered on Monday mornings at the Center for Active Aging (formerly known as the Northern Wake Senior Center).
Time: 11:00am – 12:00pm
Where: Center for Active Aging, 235 E. Holding Ave, Wake Forest
What You Need to Do: Pre-register for the program by completing and submitting an online membership form – select the check box labeled “Ageless Movement” at https://22saveshockey.org/membership/
*Veterans are invited to attend the veterans’ coffee following the program from 12:00pm – 1:00pm.
What to bring: A smile on your face, water, and a hand towel (optional)
What to wear: Comfortable attire (preferably shorts) and sneakers. Jeans are NOT recommended.
*Important to note: Please inform Max of any physical limitations that you have that restrict your movement.
